One of our favorite features of this design is the flexibility that comes from its asymmetry. Unlike plain or mosaic designs, the style can be changed completely depending on the fold used — either mixing the off white and red tones, or hiding one completely.
Some brands say silk pocket squares are the only way to go, but we're not convinced. Our pocket squares are made of the same soft cotton as the larger furoshiki — not as showy as silk, and just the right weight to be easily folded and not feel bulky in your pocket (they're also machine washable, so you don't have to worry about actually using them).
All our designs are hand-printed in Japan, in a small family-owned factory just outside of Tokyo where they've been printing textiles for over 50 years. Apart from amazing attention to detail, they really know their colors. Inks are hand-mixed to perfection, then silk-screen printed until the color is equally rich on both sides of the fabric, so they look great however you fold them.
The Arcs Pocket Square is the little brother to the larger Arcs Furoshiki. Designed from the outset as a pair, they look stunning together; the furoshiki can be worn as a scarf or converted into a lightweight bag.
